Starting his career as a photojournalist in Africa, he worked for various American and European newspaper and magazines such as The New York Times and Newsweeks. Currently, he is based deep in the mountains of Kyoto, working on documentary photo projects. All his artworks are made by analog photo techniques such as platinum prints, polaroid transfer, and wet plate collodion as well as silver gelatin prints.

Working as a travel photographer, she has published her works in various European magazines. Currently she has been creating the artworks of cyanotype photography in the rich nature countryside of Kyoto where she lives.
